Adult Supervision

IMPORTANT: ALL scouts/siblings who are Bears (3rd grade/ 8 years old) and younger MUST have an adult relative in attendance at all times.

Starting Sept 1, 2023: Cub Scouts may only attend overnights with their parents or legal guardian. Webelos may be dropped off as long as the unit has two deep leadership. If there are female scouts, one of the registered leaders must also be a female.

All adults must review the "How to Protect your Children from Child Abuse: A Parent's Guide" (Spanish version) that can be found in the front of each Cub Scout Handbook. In addition, the parent or legal guardian must be accompanied by a registered leader at any time they are with youth members other than their own child/ward. All other overnight adults must be currently registered in an adult fee required position.

Meals

Each family will need to provide their own dinner on FRIDAY night. (Suggest eating before leaving town or on the road.)

The pack will provide meals from Saturday breakfast to Sunday breakfast. This includes Saturday breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner & Sunday breakfast.

All meals will be cooked by units in the campsites. All cooking shall be supervised, and preferably performed, by a person who holds a current Texas Food Handler Certification. Pre-packaged and individually wrapped snacks may be provided by your unit for your Scouts. These are not to be shared outside of your unit and should be distributed in such a way as to minimize personal contact or touching of multiple items.

Only those with a valid food handling certificate will be permitted to prepare and serve food. Highly encourage everyone age 14+ to become certified for 2 years for only $1.98 at https://99centfoodhandler.com/. This cost is reimbursable for registered leaders.

If you have a special dietary requirement, PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY. We will do our best, but there are no guarantees that all eventualities are planned for. We also need you to advise Stephanie ASAP so that we can update the menu.

Water

Available at the camp. Each participant should have a personal water bottle for refills.

Health/Safety/First Aid

Minor first aid is the guardian's responsibility. Major first aid problems will be handled by camp first aid staff. All liquid fuels must be handled in accordance with National Scouts BSA policy.
