EVENTS
It happens every year in January and is one of the most popular and successful family activities in Cub Scouting. Pinewood derby cars are small wooden models that Cub Scouts make with help from their families. Your Scout gets to work with parents and leaders to imagine, design, create, and race unpowered wooden cars against fellow Cub Scouts.
The cars are powered by gravity and run down a track. Every scout can design and build their own "grand prix" car to enter in the race.
The Pinewood derby race is on January 25 at 9:00 AM
Scouting for Food is the Scouts BSA annual food drive. Our pack is distribute Scouting for Food grocery bags on the doorstep of the Oak Hills neighborhood and then return the following week to pick up donations.
Distribution will occur at 9 AM on Sunday, February 2 and the delivery to the food bank will be on Sunday, February 16.
Scout Sunday is Sunday, February 9 at our chartered organization, Grace Lutheran Church.
They have invited us to attend a social reception at 10:15 AM and service at 11:00 AM. They will have cookies, drinks, and patches for all in attendance. Wear your Class A uniform to show your affiliation with scouting.
If you are unable to attend this service (due to other obligations or religious preference), wear your Class A uniform to any religious service in February, take a photo, and send it to your den leader.
Please join us on Saturday, February 22 at 11:30am for our annual Blue and Gold Banquet!
We will say farewell to our Arrow of Light Cub Scouts as they cross over to join Scouts BSA. Plus, we will also be celebrating the Pack's 24 years!
Catering will be provided for our Scouts, however there will be a fee of $10 per person for guests of the Scouts. To clarify registered Cub Scouts are free and parents, siblings, and other guests of the Scout will be charged $10.
