| The Cub Scout Salute |
A salute is a way to show respect. We salute the U.S. flag during ceremonies to show respect for our country. Sometimes you may also salute your leaders or other Cub Scouts to show goodwill and courtesy.
Salute with your right hand. Hold your fingers as you do for the sign but with the first two fingers close together. Touch the tips of your fingers to your cap's bill. If you aren't wearing a cap, touch your forehead above your right eyebrow.
